New Visitor

There was a Golden-crowned Sparrow in my yard today. I've never seen one in my yard. I've been working to improve my yard for more than 10 years, slowly adding plants and landscaping that will attract feathered visitors. Mostly I get what is most common. I have a Chickadee family and a Nuthatch family in my tall trees. Over the last couple of years I've managed to attract regular Anna's Hummingbirds.

I would like a more diversified array of visitors. I'm getting there.

I would've taken a picture of the Golden-crowned, but it's still getting dark in the middle of the afternoon.

Bruce.

Y'know, I think I'll just say this while no one is reading my blog. I'm in love with Bruce Wayne. The Bruce Wayne that he is when at home with Alfred. The one that's taking two seconds off from being Batman. The one that isn't on show as Bruce Wayne: public face. I think I'm in part fascinated with the way Bruce has carefully skewed reality and in part attracted to his ability as both Bruce and Batman to pick a puzzle apart. It doesn't seem to really matter who's doing the writing of whatever Batman I'm reading or watching, the character intrigues me. And that elusive Bruce--the one we don't much read about or see on screen--is like a little puzzle all its own for me to ponder.

So, yes, I am nuts. Just thought I'd get that out of the way early.

Hello.

I'm still pondering.
I may be back soon.
Or not.
