Frankly, Broccoli...

Don't you just get the feeling that Broccoli will be making clothes from draperies next?

Calm

I found this in a notebook where I was looking for something I couldn't find. This was probably a sketch of my old cat, Riesling, only without any stripes and with green graph paper adornment. It was dated October 1990, which seems like a really long time ago.

I thought I'd share while the next Radish is getting colored.

Moving Along...

Radish gets more interesting every day.

Also...Woohoo! Everything is in the mail before deadline! I just want to thank my village for getting me through a stressful week. Thanks for your help, support and encouragement even during my unproductive periods: Amy, Angie, Mom, Dad and Mike. I appreciate you more than you know.

You Knew This Was Coming

The Ha Ha Ha Times is up. The circled letters spell out a little poem. I wish I had time to read it over, but I'm still trying to be responsible here and do my classwork. Which I'm sure totally explains why I'm online in the first place.
22 days. Tick tock tick indeed.

Panel 3 = My Brain

Hey! I can schedule this to post at a time that doesn't betray what time it really is as I sit here trying to type up my notes from the class I need to be done with this week but am woefully behind on and am not helping myself by blowing up the folks at Insalataville Labs! Unfortunately the run-on-ness of that sentence totally betrays what time it is. Heh.

Yay Pollinators!

I was envious of a fellow blogger's Bumblebee-in-flight photo, so I attempted my own. Not too shabby. And right after I took the picture of my first cultivated strawberry of the year (as opposed to the many wild ones all over my yard), I ate it.

Gin has no color

OK, I'll stop editing the previous post now.
So, gin has no color, but lemons are sunny-yellow-happy.
Summer break is finally here!

Just What I Need

New Dark Knight viral site: Clown Race. Once I figured out what I was doing, I made it easily to level 5 and won. I think the ticket part will come later, though...? I do not need this to distract me from working on my homework for the class I'm taking. I notice The Gotham Times has not yet been jokerized. I expect it will, though, and there will be another clue there. But then, why be predictable? If you don't cheat from the boards, like me, then eventually you'll find a color code to tap out on the spin wheel that gives you the ticket that leads you to a security cam with...static. There will definitely be more coming. People on the boards are insane, by the way. And they are the quintessential computer time-wasters. I...I am only a novice. Here's one of my cheat spots. If you're curious, click on the Why So Serious series and read about the puzzles. I haven't solved any of them on my own (not enough time and they are amazingly complicated!).

Workshop done! Free of school obligations! (except for this class I have to finish as quickly as possible)...(and I have to go in and clean off my desk so things won't disappear when they drag everything out into the hall to do the floors). Oh, never mind. I do get to sleep in tomorrow. Woohoo!

Superhero Junkie, c'est moi.

To celebrate the last day of school, I went to see The Incredible Hulk at noon instead of going to a colleague's house for the year-end party (too far to drive to have a drink, actually). This is the thoughtful version of Hulk smash. I enjoyed the relationships between the characters and the villain that necessitated Hulk smash it. I liked Iron Man better, though. Iron Man was really fun to watch--maybe because Tony Stark is less conflicted and more convicted in his invention of Iron Man. He embodies the "what if" factor I love so much about comics and sci-fi. Not that I don't go for the whole conflicted/angsty hero thing. Batman anyone?
So, anyway, go see The Incredible Hulk. (then go see Iron Man again!)

Tomorrow and Thursday I have 2 days of teaching workshop at school. Sigh. Makes the end of the year anticlimactic. I'm hoping to storyboard out the next several Radishes. I have a rough idea of the next 4 or 5, but haven't had a chance to put them on paper beyond sticky notes. Oh, and of course I'll be paying close attention to the workshop and will learn many valuable things that I will use in my classes next year.

The Gotham City Pizzeria site has a little treat. Ha! Gotham Cable News has commentary on the Dent election....30 days until The Dark Knight.

Garlic Takes Another Moment

More Viral Hijinks

There's a new Gotham Times chronicling Harvey Dent's landslide win...what's above the fold is more interesting (at least to me). On page 4: Can you identify which ferry that might be? I mean Gotham obviously has boats, um, similar to those of the Washington State Ferry System. There's also a carrot at Gotham Cable News, and there's something else going on that's cell-phone centric for those who have the joker phones.

Only a day and a half left of students. And yay! Tuesday is only 4th, 5th and 6th--so I don't have any kids that give me a headache. Also, lo and behold, the sun is actually shining in the great Pacific Northwest. Maybe we'll squeeze in some spring before the first day of summer.

Chilly Reception at the Lair

Here is what I've been doing instead of the stuff I really have to do.
I need some clones...on speed.

"Toast"

Including the original, this is #50. We've come a long way, Radish, Garlic, Pear and I.

Still 8 1/2 more days until school is out. I hope I won't feel like Radish by then.
