When, oh when, did "they" stop making notebook paper a uniform size? And why? Bad enough that pencils have "lead" that breaks every 3 mm or are wrapped in pencil-sharpener-killing plastic. Sigh.
I miss notebook paper, looseleaf, and yellow legal pads. I'm someone that likes to write stuff down (just randomness but I need lined paper) and here in France, all I can find is paper that's gridded! Teeny lines intersecting each other all over the page! It's driving me nuts!
When I was in Italy all we had were half-sized notebooks that you couldn't tear pages out of. I should probably be thankful for the 10 sizes of paper sitting in my in-box. ;)
Just finished testing. We bought a pile of Tichonderogas. High breakage rate. Called them. They said they had had some quality problems with certain lot numbers. I gave them my lot numbers, and they sent our school replacements. Something like 1000-1500 replacements for free.
Also modern single-cutter electric sharpeners get off center and contribute to breaking lead. Just got a new dual cutter here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000DZAT12/ref=oss_product and it is awesome. Better, sharper, faster. I think I'm going to call it the Steve Austin sharpener. Too soon to say anything about durability.
Ugh, the irritating part is the mechanical pencils that have erasers the size of nothing and cannot be pulled out to put lead in. How are we supposed to use the pencil if there is no lead?!?
so many notepads and notebooks are awkwardly sized, i notice while trying to take notes reporting. bleh ! nothing is efficient enough.
also, i love the name of your blog. i just wanted to say that ! your tossing of the period before the first 'e' in geek is ever-delightful, followed by the excitement-made punctuation at the end.
