OK, so this one is an odd one. First of all, marionettes give me the creeps, so I don't know why I thought of marionettes right off the bat. Second, I really wanted this to be collage--fabric and paper and string with little metal bits--but I wouldn't finish a piece like that for a year. So here's the digital concept for my slant on theater, this week's Illustration Friday theme. Hmmmmmm.Also, as mentioned before, migraines suck.

I like this. It's got great line work and colors. The oddity of the marionettes and the fact that one of them looks like it's alive instead of just being a marionette makes it even more interesting. Very cool.

There is always something fascinatingly macabre about marionettes I think, and the scissors really top it off...
