The Incredible Floating Onion!

It took me a while to decide what to use for a kid in Insalataville. I've never considered younger fruits or vegetables.

I like how the layout of this strip turned out, but I'm not happy with the word balloons. It just can't always turn out exactly right, can it?

For the kid, you should have done a green banana! A little one, too. But what you have is cute. We had snow this week! But, of course, it wasn't any good for a snow ball fight. Too bad. I'll slam someone with one some other time.

Love the bloated onion concept! And, Auntfan, that's a great idea that young bananas are green. Though I have to admit, in my experience, when you get bananas home from the store, they are all instantly overripe!

I'm trying to think what some other "young" fruits would look like: a kumquat is a young orange? Must think some more.

A younger fruit or vegetable would be a flower or perhaps a tree.

Hope you had a good Turkey day. Your mom's in my new guitar book. Meant to call her or email, but I've been swinging between busy and sick.

Heh. A flower or tree is perhaps too young...but the temptation/challenge to mince/chop might bring Garlic back to her old garlicky self.
