Legendary

Legendary poetry
Legendary bird
For this week's Illustration Friday theme, I was going to draw legendary comic heroes Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, but I'm better at drawing animals and decided to go with the raven. I was just rereading a biography of my favorite illustrator, Arthur Rackham, which I'm sure influenced my choice.
Still fighting this cold. Doesn't help to have students coming to school sick...and that it is still snowing in the middle of March in the mild Pacific Northwest. When I see the doctor tomorrow, I'm sure she'll say I'll just have to let it run its course. Of course.

very nice, makes me want to read, but i have too much to do tonight... maybe later when i'm trying to sleep, a good book may help. the snow this morning did not put a smile on my face... bring on the sun!

Thank you. And no kidding! I never used to mind dark NW winters, but this year...? I'm dying for a long stretch of sunny days!

Oh, I really like Arthur Rackham too--and Poe! Ravens are perfect subjects. I like how this one is surrounded by the critical words of the poem.

My students hack and blow all over the place, but I've been lucky. And now it's spring break, and sunny and in the sixties--not exactly weather for staying indoors and making pictures.

Thank you for your comment.
